HOW IS CIGNIX DIFFERENT FROM OTHER CESSATION PLATFORMS?

The answer: Most cessation platforms monitor abstinence. Cignix produces extinction. These are different mechanisms, different outcomes, and different relationships with the problem.

What most platforms do

The dominant cessation app architecture is abstinence monitoring with motivational scaffolding- a day counter, a money saved calculator, health milestone notifications, and a library of tips. The user is celebrated for not smoking and reminded of why they should continue.

This addresses the conscious, prefrontal layer- the part of the brain that wants to quit, tracks the streak, and feels proud of progress. It does not address the limbic layer, which is the automatic, cue-triggered circuit that produces the craving the person has to survive before the streak can continue.

A platform that only monitors abstinence is measuring the outcome of cessation without producing the mechanism of it.

What Cignix does differently

Circuit-level intervention, not abstinence monitoring. The Cignix Protocol works at the level where the smoking circuit actually operates- the cue, the craving, the three-minute window. It delivers real-time behavioral intervention during the craving itself, not celebration after it passes.

Personalized cue mapping, not generic content. The Addictive Voice Recognition Tool (AVRT) identifies the specific triggers carrying the most charge in each individual’s smoking pattern before the quit attempt begins. Generic motivational content addresses no specific circuit. Personalized cue mapping addresses yours.

Relapse as clinical information, not failure. Most platforms go quiet after a relapse- the streak resets, the user disengages. The Cignix Protocol treats a lapse as the most important clinical moment in the cessation journey. It is the moment that reveals which circuit survived and what specific preparation is required next.

Built for India, not adapted for it. Most cessation platforms were built for Western cigarette smokers and made available in India as an afterthought. Cignix is built for the Indian tobacco landscape- cigarettes, vaping, bidi, gutka, khaini, and the specific social, occupational, and economic contexts where Indian tobacco users live and where Indian tobacco addiction was built.

Free and accessible. The cessation infrastructure that reaches clinicians and educated urban smokers does not reach the bidi smoker in a tier three city, the gutka user in a rural community, or the low-income smoker for whom the cost of cessation products exceeds the cost of the tobacco habit. Cignix is free to access, removing cost as the barrier that keeps the most burdened populations from the most effective support.

The one thing to hold onto

The difference between Cignix and other cessation platforms is the difference between watching the problem and solving it.

Abstinence monitoring watches. Extinction produces.

The circuit does not weaken because an app celebrated the streak. It weakens because the craving fired and the reward did not come, in the three-minute window where every cessation attempt is won or lost.

That window is where Cignix works.

Cignix is India’s neural circuit-based smoking cessation platform. The Cignix Protocol works with the biology of how smoking is learned and how it is unlearned. The entry point is the Smoking Immunity Meter at learn.cignix.com/user/sim. Visit cignix.com.
