Most teenagers- especially under 17- experience long-term risk as genuinely abstract. A 15-year-old cannot feel cancer at 55. They can feel social exclusion tomorrow, yellow teeth at the next party, breathlessness at the next football match. Frame consequences in near-term and visible terms, not statistical future risk.
